Palmyra

A tourist program in Palmyra, the ancient Syrian city known as “The Bride of the Desert It was a great commercial center on the Silk Road and flourished during the Roman era. Today, it is considered one of the most important World Heritage sites

Palmyra, “The Bride of the Desert,” is not an ordinary visit, but a living passage through time.
The journey begins at the Temple of Bel the most sacred temple of Palmyra, where we walk through its porticoes and vast courtyard and listen to the story of the city and its religious role through the ages (duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes). From there, we continue on foot along the Colonnaded Street, surrounded by columns stretching as far as the eye can see, like an open Roman painting under the sky, perfect for capturing unforgettable panoramic photos (duration: 1 hour).
We arrive at the Roman Theater, where we sit on the stone tiers and imagine the artistic performances that once took place here (duration: 45 minutes).
After that, we pass through the Arch of Triumph, a symbol of glory and resilience and one of Palmyra’s most prominent architectural landmarks (duration: 30 minutes).
Then we stop at the Tetrapylon, the famous crossroads that was the beating heart of the city and the center of movement in ancient Palmyra (duration: 30 minutes).
We then climb to Ibn Ma‘n Castle to see Palmyra from above, where the desert and the ruins meet in a scene that captivates the soul (duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes).
Next, we head to explore burial rituals, the philosophy of eternity, and the secrets of immortality among the Palmyrenes in the tower tombs (duration: 1 hour).
After that, we take a calm break in the palm oasis in the heart of the desert, allowing body and soul a moment of balance at Afqa Spring, with its sulfuric waters known for their therapeutic properties (duration: 1 hour).
As evening approaches, before the journey concludes, we take a golden sunset tour among the ruins, where the columns turn a glowing golden color that is impossible to forget an experience seen with the eyes and etched into memory.
Note:
The program is flexible for those who wish to enjoy a deeper experience. A desert camping area and traditional hospitality are available near the site, fully equipped for rest and overnight stays for those who wish to spend the night in Palmyra and enjoy peaceful evenings under a star-filled sky, desert fire gatherings, and the feeling that you are truly living the place, not just visiting it.
