Our journey takes us to the archaeological monastery of Deir Mar Musa al-Habashi, one of the most important Syriac monasteries in Syria, where we explore its sections.

The Main Church: One of the oldest and most important parts of the monastery, distinguished by its walls and Syriac frescoes that reflect a spirit of asceticism and monastic life. The church is used for prayers and liturgical services.

The Monks’ Cells: Small stone rooms where monks live, reflecting a life of solitude, prayer, and contemplation.

The Guest Hall: Dedicated to receiving visitors, where the monastery’s history and the message of the monastic community are explained.

The Library and Manuscript Room: Contains religious and philosophical books in several languages, as well as copies of ancient Syriac manuscripts.

The Outer Courtyard: Offers a panoramic desert view overlooking the Qalamoun Mountains and the Syrian Desert, making it an ideal place for meditation and photography, highlighting the monastery’s unique location between the mountains and the desert.
